Hastealloy

Hastelloy is a trademarked name for a group of corrosion-resistant metal alloys primarily made from nickel, with varying amounts of molybdenum, iron, cobalt, and chromium. It is well-known for its exceptional resistance to strong oxidizing and reducing agents, making it ideal for harsh chemical environments. Hastelloy is commonly used in industries such as chemical processing, marine, aerospace, and nuclear due to its durability and resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Grades like Hastelloy C-22 and C-276 are widely used for reactors, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels. The alloy maintains its strength and corrosion resistance even at high temperatures and in aggressive media. Its versatility and reliability make Hastelloy a preferred material for demanding industrial applications. Despite being more expensive than common alloys, its long service life and performance justify the cost.
